Morgan McGee
Elementary Education
As Morgan McGee grew up, she found all of her teachers in school to be very helpful and inspirational and she decided she wanted to be just like them. So when she enrolled at 91ÊÓƵÎÛÎÛ Tech, she knew right away she wanted to major in elementary education so she could become a teacher.
"I want to be the best teacher I can be," McGee said.
McGee is using the SEED scholarship to attend 91ÊÓƵÎÛÎÛ Tech, and that scholarship, along with the College offering her preferred program and the opportunity to stay close to home, made attending 91ÊÓƵÎÛÎÛ Tech an easy choice.
During her time at 91ÊÓƵÎÛÎÛ Tech, McGee has found the College has all of the necessary resources available to help students become successful in their program of study.
"For me, the writing center has helped tremendously," she said. "I am now comfortable in writing papers and confident that I will do well on them."
She has also been helped with the hands-on learning offered within the education program.
"The hands-on learning in classes is helping me toward my goal of becoming a teacher," McGee said. "Working with my peers on activities that we will likely be doing with our students one day is definitely helpful."
After she graduates, McGee hopes to become an elementary school teacher in Sussex County.
